About LeTourneau

LeTourneau University is a comprehensive institution of Christian higher education where educators engage learners to nurture Christian virtue, develop competency and ingenuity in their professional fields, and integrate faith and work in order to serve the local and global community with the love of Jesus Christ. As The Christian Polytechnic University, we are committed to providing transformational educational opportunities, industry-ready preparation, technology-centric experiences, and Christ-centered character formation. The university was founded in 1946 as LeTourneau Technical Institute, by R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau. R.G. was one of the world’s greatest inventors of earthmoving equipment who believed in the value of practical, hands-on education and innovation in a distinctly Christian atmosphere. That
same spirit still drives the university today, from premiere lab experiences across disciplines and personalized faculty student relationships to a nationally recognized flight school and immersive student ministry opportunities. Claiming every workplace in every nation as our mission field, LeTourneau University graduates are professionals of ingenuity and Christ-like character who see life’s work as a holy calling with eternal impact.
