Michael Kessler

Dr. Kessler received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at LeTourneau University in 1996. He currently serves as Dean and Professor in the College of Engineering at North Dakota State University. Dr. Kessler is an expert in the mechanics, processing, and characterization of polymer matrix composites and nanocomposites. He is a Kavli Fellow awarded by the National Academy of Sciences, has received an NSF CAREER Award, a Young Investigator Program Award from both the US Army and the US Air Force. Dr. Kessler has received over $11 million in research funding and has published over 160 journal papers that have over 6,600 citations, a Google Scholar index of 43, and holds nearly 20 patents.
