#1 In Texas - Excelling Everywhere

Global Impact

At the nation's premier Christian polytechnic university, nursing students are trained with high-quality, hands-on learning in a Christ-centered environment. Faculty members are industry-experienced and dedicated to graduating exceptional nurses who care for patients both physically and spiritually. As senior nursing major Jane Wortham (left) puts it: "We're taught not only how to be a good nurse; we're taught how to be a nurse who allows our faith to drive us and be the hands and feet of God."

LETU's School of Nursing offers an on-campus BSN degree.

NCLEX pass rates are monitored by the Texas State Board of Nursing and are viewed as a measure of how well nurses are prepared to provide safe, quality care for health care consumers. Dean of the School of Nursing, Dr. Kimberly Quiett, speaks to the LeTourneau NCLEX pass rate:

“A lot of people choose a nursing program based on the pass rate of the NCLEX,” said LETU Dean of the School of Nursing Dr. Kimberly Quiett, who began the nursing program at LETU 2014. “It tells a lot about the quality of a nursing program and how well students are prepared for nursing. Our excellent NCLEX pass rate, along with our accreditation through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, are important indicators that our nursing faculty and our university are dedicated to graduating exceptional nurses.

“Our clinical affiliations with dozens of local healthcare facilities and organizations allow us to offer a superior clinical nursing experience,” Quiett said. “We focus on providing a high quality, hands-on learning environment.”

World Class Facilities

Our on-campus lab facilities incorporate modern simulation equipment, and simulated scenarios that take students through "real life" situations they may encounter in hospital or clinical settings. Students will also have the opportunity to partner with faculty on research, join the Nurses Christian Fellowship, the Student Nurses Association, and engage with the local and global community in service learning and mission opportunities.
