What brought you to LETU?
I just finished up the MBA program here at LeTourneau University in May, 2018. As an alum of LeTourneau, it was a natural fit to follow up my BBA (1999) with a LeTourneau MBA, albeit almost 20 years later.
How would you describe your LETU experience?
There were certainly late nights finishing up papers after getting home from business trips or nursing sick kids. However, I would not change one bit of it. I was able to count on professors and lean on classmates.
How has LETU prepared you for your career?
I was a working student throughout my time at LeTourneau, working in the IT field. I was able to apply and actively utilize what I learned at LeTourneau to grow within my field, and I now hold the position of president of a financial services company. I was also able to apply what I learned about being a modern Christian to my faith journey and continue to pursue missionary work with organizations such as Water of Life and Alternativ. Missionary organizations do not always need you in the field, they also need help with Marketing, Accounting, and Strategic Development – all things you learn about at LeTourneau.
What advice would you give to LETU students?
I encourage everyone to use their time at LeTourneau to not only finish and graduate but to graduate with a wide network of fellow students as your professional peers. Personally, I look forward to crossing your path!
