Missions Aviation, Class of 2002
"I'm a pilot and mechanic with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Indonesia on one of MAF's float plane bases. I have the privilege of serving people in the remote villages along many of the Borneo rivers. Without the airplane, people would have to walk or ride boats, sometimes for days, through dense jungle to get to their destinations. With the airplane, it can take minutes. Sometimes, in the case of medical evacuations, this is the difference between life and death. LeTourneau University gave me both the technical aviation education that is critical to this kind of precise flying and the spiritual foundation to be able to serve in the midst of so many needs."
