What brought you to LETU?

After completing 20 years and retiring from the Air Force and working 3 years as the Logistics Manager for Wind Generation Manufacturing company, I was able to start chasing my dream of flying in the summer of 2016. By the grace of God, I had just finished my private pilot license with another school when they lost funding from under the GI Bill. When I started calling flight schools, they wanted my business but were unable to use my funding from the GI Bill. Seeing that I needed to find an accredited college that had a flight program, my wife came across LeTourneau that was a school that accepted GI Bill. The great part was there was a satellite campus in McKinney.

How would you describe your LETU experience?

Bible classes were challenging but opened me to new depths in faith and spirituality. Flight school was challenging too but as a passion, it was fun and exhilarating. This lifelong goal to fly airplanes has come to pass and one day in the near future I will be flying commercially. That could be with airlines, but really I want to be where the Lord leads me. I give God all the glory for all that He has done, all that He is doing, and what He is going to do.

Did any professors have a significant impact?

My experience was a great one that really was due to some great men and women—students, great professors and some really hard-working administrators. Thank you to all those that made this journey possible.
