Sean brings diversity in experience. He studied Engineering at UTTyler, has a degree in Christian Ministry, and an entrepreneur’s knack. Early in his career, as an undergrad student, he was promoted to Coordinator of Campus Audio and Visual Media at East Texas Baptist University, and merged the A.V. dept. with their IT department. This gave him valuable opportunities to work with faculty, staff, students and big names in Christian Music and Ministry.

This led to a Sales and Consulting role with a major regional AV integration company. Sean’s work is evidenced in many East Texas churches and institutions where he custom designed AV solutions and commissioned the integration of these systems. More importantly the LORD’s purpose was fulfilled as engineering and ministry combined in this role to serve local churches.

Sean’s last 8 years were invested as Sr. Project Manager for a major regional insurance restoration company. Experience in training team members, working with home-owners and insurance companies gave diverse opportunities to engage with others and see projects to completion.

Ministry has been a theme for Sean and he has realized that vocation is an opportunity for ministry. Sean has faithfully served in his church as Sunday School teacher, on committees, Worship Team, Audio Engineer, discipleship leader and has filled the pulpit on occasion. 

Sean has an amazing wife and three amazing kids that keep him busy with life. Together they enjoy nature and the outdoors, music, fitness, and tinkering on DIY projects at home and on various trucks and Jeeps (read: Gear-head). The intersection of Faith and tech in Sean’s life helped point him and his children toward LETU.

Now, serving as Director of Operations and Strategic Projects for EMC, and Sr. Leadership Team, though not an LETU Alum, he relates on a deep level to how LETU brings Faith and Higher Ed to focus. He is passionate to be behind the scenes to see LETU flourish as next year’s graduates go into industry and the new freshman are invited in.
