Professional Experience

An alumnus of LeTourneau University, Ken first enrolled as a student in 1992, serving in several student roles on campus including with Dining Services, the Library, and the Computer Science department before joining the Information Technology team as a student in 1995.

Upon receiving his undergraduate degree in Computer Science & Mathematics in 1997, Ken accepted a full-time position with the IT team, serving in several capacities over the years including Network Engineer and Director of Network, Security and Telecommunications.

Ken received his Master of Business Administration from LeTourneau in 2005.

In 2019 he accepted a position as LETU's Chief Information Officer. In this role he enjoys working with a talented and committed team of technology leaders in the university's Business Systems Management, User Support and Engagement, Network and Telecommunications, and Information Security departments to provide outstanding technology services in support of LETU's mission to reach the world for Christ.

 

Personal Background

A minister's son raised in Oregon and Illinois, Ken first discovered LeTourneau when his brother gifted him RG LeTourneau's autobiography "Mover of Men and Mountains" for his birthday. As a student, Ken also served as a founding member of LeTourneau’s Yellowjacket Activities Council (YAC).

Ken's wife Ashley is also a LeTourneau alum (Biology/Chemistry) and the recipient of God’s miracle of a double lung transplant. They reside in Longview and are members of New Hope Baptist Church in Ore City where they co-teach 5th-6th grade Sunday School and serve with the Praise & Worship Team and the Audio/Video ministry.

In his spare time Ken enjoys landscaping, rainy days, singing, piano/organ, bass guitar, video editing, spoiling his cat, and advocating for organ donation.
