REPORTS TO: Associate Director for Facilities Services
SCHEDULE: Hourly position – Office hours are primarily weekdays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of one so classified.

Supervise students or helpers as needed. Duties will be assigned by the Associate Director for Facilities Services and will include the following.

  • Maintain proper state licensing.
  • Perform all electrical related tasks including, but not limited to, repairs, maintenance, cleaning, or construction of existing or new equipment or facilities as assigned by the Associate Director for facilities Services
  • Stay current on NEC regulations.
  • Respond to fire alarm devices, maintain knowledge of current systems.
  • Provide customer communication regarding work order request
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Will be on the afterhours on-call rotation.  On-call/Call-out hours are primarily 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. weekdays and 24-hours on weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master Electrician License, Desired.
  • Journeymen License, Required. (3 – 5 years minimum).
  • Electrical experience (5 - 10 years minimum).
  • High school diploma or equivalent fund of knowledge, Required.
  • Must be age 18 or older.
