Academic Secretary

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide administrative/secretarial support for the SEET Dean, faculty, and staff in-person and via email
• Greet students, distinguished guests, and visiting families
• Answer phones, process email, maintain organized electronic and paper records
• Light to moderate accounting responsibilities such as: credit card reports, tracking account balances, expense reports, purchase orders, and petty cash
• Place online purchases
• Coordinate student worker hiring paperwork
• Assist with planning and coordinating departmental functions and activities
• Assist supervision of office student workers

• Prior office experience, ideally in a higher education setting
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office or equivalent
• Bookkeeping/Accounting background strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, flexibility, and an encouraging spirit are essential
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; some college required
