SCHEDULE:

The position is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position for fall and spring semesters, with the possibility of summer school and online teaching. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but may include some evening classes, independent studies, as well as some online responsibilities. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities include creating and offering classroom and laboratory-based courses within the recently launched Construction Management degree program, appropriate scholarship in Construction Management or a related field, assisting the program Chair in the program accreditation process, advising students, and serving on various university committees. Teaching duties include undergraduate teaching in the various Construction Management courses as well as other areas of competency. Teaching responsibilities may include both on-site and online delivery methods.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate Construction Management education with an emphasis on hands-on instruction and practical application. Applicants may be needed to teach a wide range of courses within the Construction Management program so a broad area of experience and skills is desired. Candidates must hold a Master's or PhD degree in Construction Management, engineering, business or construction-related field from an accredited program. Professional experience in the field of Construction Management is highly desired but not required. Certification and/or licensure within Construction Management, Construction, or Engineering related fields will also be considered but are not required. Candidates from broad backgrounds are encouraged to apply and will be considered based upon their potential as instructors and mentors within an undergraduate educational program.
