POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The primary role of adjunct faculty is teaching online courses, which focuses on instruction, assessment of student learning outcomes, and program evaluation. Most online courses are offered in an accelerated format with synchronous and asynchronous components. Our MA Clinical Mental Health program is a year-round program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith committed to a Christian higher education that integrates Christian faith with learning. 

An earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision (CACREP-accredited program preferred) or counseling-related field; active professional counselor credentials (LPC or LMFT) with at least two years of professional clinical experience, experience teaching online graduate counseling courses, proficiency in technology, and outstanding oral and written communication skills. 

KEY JOB   DUTIES:     

  • Complete grading per rubrics and program guidelines. 
  • Communicate with students and faculty promptly. 
  • Commitment to the integration of faith and  
  • Utilize the Canvas learning platform and other technological resources to enhance student learning. 
  • Attend virtual adjunct meetings. 
  • Reports at-risk learners to appropriate faculty or staff member. 
  • Participates in the course by providing expertise in the subject matter, facilitating course discussions, and providing appropriate feedback promptly.
