LeTourneau University is presenting the American classic rock and roll band KANSAS at 7:30 p.m. Sunday September 1, 2019 in the Belcher Center on the university main campus, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. in Longview.
Tickets are currently on sale at www.BelcherCenter.com and with prices ranging from $45 to $95.
The band’s legendary career spans more than four decades, beginning in the 1970s. With songs like “Carry On Wayward Son,” and “Dust In the Wind,” KANSAS firmly established itself as one of America’s iconic classic rock bands. “Carry On Wayward Son” continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio. “Dust In the Wind” has been played on the radio more than three million times, and the single sold over a million copies. The band has produced several multi-platinum albums and charted on Billboard for over 200 weeks throughout the 1970s and 1980s, filling sold-out arenas nationwide.
The band has reached a whole new audience through their unmistakable presence on the popular video games Rock Band and Guitar Hero, and through their songs’ inclusion in various television shows such as “Supernatural,” and “South Park,” and with films “Old School,” and “Anchorman.”
