Babs Mullinax has Indiana roots and a passport full of stamps. She comes from a mixed professional life of communications, small business, ministry, and missions. What resonated with Babs about LeTourneau University was a campus body dedicated to helping students pursue God's calling and find alignment between education, talents, and God’s purpose. She saw that in her husband's experience as an alum of LeTourneau and she sees that in her son's current student experience.

What drew you to/keeps you at LeTourneau?

I consider it a joy to help others find their alignment in developing a life that seeks His kingdom. My favorite conversations begin with, “I think that God might be calling me to…” Those conversations involve story, Scripture, and courage; and I thoroughly enjoy helping find good next steps to continue the journey a little bit further.

In recent years it has personally involved a lot of college visits helping family members find their fit with the right university. And LeTourneau University was distinctly different than all others. The flexibility, excellence, and innovation in their academic programs and their long-term onboarding commitment to faculty for integrating faith into every classroom isn’t common.

What excites you most about what is on the horizon for LETU?

Ultimately what drew me to LeTourneau University was a conviction that every workplace around the world needs Christ, and I discovered that LeTourneau agrees, which is why they integrate a Biblical worldview into preparing their students for every workplace. What excites me about LeTourneau’s horizon is that every new building and program they are building toward holds the course of their foundational values by embracing their identity as the Christian polytechnic university

What do you love most about your geographic region?

I'm based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. I enjoy having a year with all four seasons and the seasonal traditions and flavors that come with them (ice cream and lakes, cider and corn mazes, hot cocoa and fireplaces, and cool breezes and long walks). In the battle of pizzas in the region, though, Chicago deep dish wins!
