Samantha Brush proudly brings Canadian roots, a passion for Christian higher education, and a healthy appreciation for good coffee to the LeTourneau University recruitment team. Having served students in Christian higher education in the Southwestern U.S. for several years, she loves helping prospective students discover not just where they want to go to college, but who God is calling them to become.

When she isn't connecting with students, you'll likely find her planning her next national park adventure, exploring Southern California, reading anything she can get her hands on, or reminding people that yes, she really is Canadian.

What drew you to / keeps you at LeTourneau?

I have a passion for the authentically Christian education LeTourneau offers and that passion is deeply personal. During my undergraduate years, I wrestled with difficult questions about my faith in an academic environment where those conversations weren’t encouraged. Through that season, I discovered that Christianity could stand up to honest questions and intellectual rigor. It also gave me a deep appreciation for learning in a community where faith and scholarship strengthen one another rather than compete. That is the type of intellectual community LETU fosters - one where students can grow as whole people and be encouraged both academically and spiritually.

What excites you most about what is on the horizon for LETU?

What excites me most about the future of LeTourneau is the next group of students who will call this place home. Every incoming class brings new personalities, passions, and hopefully (or should I say likely) a few future world-changers. I love being part of the moment when students begin to see how God has uniquely wired them for a purpose. College is about more than picking a major, it’s about discovering how God has uniquely created you to serve the world.

What do you love most about your geographic region?

The Southern California life is never boring. All in one weekend you could be hiking in the mountains, watching the sunset over the Pacific, or grabbing tacos that will forever ruin tacos anywhere else. I joke with the team all the time that it's "West Coast, Best Coast!" Beyond the scenery, I love how people share their cultures through food, coffee, and community. Some of the best international cuisine I've ever had is right here, and every new neighborhood feels like a chance to experience another part of the world. It's a little like traveling without ever having to leave home.
