Psychology and Counseling Scholarship



Manson Stockwell Graduate Scholar Award

 

Scholarship Amount: 2/3 Tuition

Award Criteria:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree from LeTourneau University
  • Must be pursuing the nontraditional Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) master's degree offered through the School of Psychology & Counseling
  • Must be enrolled full-time (9 hours graduate) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
  • Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)

Renewable: Yes

  • No more than one Stockwell Scholar Award will be given per year (either a Summer or Fall semester start). It is possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.

Elizabeth Flenniken Graduate Scholar Award

 

Scholarship Amount: 2/3 Tuition

Award Criteria:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited University
  • Must be pursuing the nontraditional Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) master's degree offered through the School of Psychology & Counseling
  • Must be enrolled full-time (9 hours graduate) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
  • Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)

Renewable: Yes

  • No more than one Flenniken Scholar Award will be given per year (either a Summer or Fall semester start). It is possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.

Madalyn Michael Undergraduate Scholar Award

 

Scholarship Amount: Up to $10,000 annually

Award Criteria:

  • Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours by the time of the award (Fall semester)
  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in the School of Psychology & Counseling (BSPY, PSYA, PSYS, PSCP)
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
  • Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)

Renewable: Yes

  • This award establishes a scholarship fund that allows the awarding of up to $10,000.00 annually. The entire amount may be awarded to one student, or the award may be split into smaller amounts and awarded to more than one student. Students may apply for this scholarship more than once, as long as they meet the stated criteria. It is also possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.

Ringgold Undergraduate Scholar Award

 

Scholarship Amount: $10,000

Award Criteria:

  • Must be accepted to LeTourneau University with a declared major within the School of Psychology & Counseling (BSPY, PSCP, PSYA, PSYS). Candidates may represent incoming freshmen or transfer students who have not previously been enrolled full-time at LeTourneau University.
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
  • Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)

Renewable: No

  • This award establishes a scholarship fund that awards $10,000.00 annually. The entire amount is awarded to one student. It is also possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.

Marshall Undergraduate Scholar Award

 

Scholarship Amount: $5,000

Award Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled at LeTourneau University with a declared major within the School of Psychology & Counseling (BSPY, PSCP, PSYA, PSYS). Candidates may be of freshmen or sophomore status.
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
  • Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)

Renewable: No

  • This award establishes a scholarship fund that awards $5,000.00 annually. The entire amount is awarded to one student. Students may apply for this scholarship more than once, as long as they meet the stated criteria. It is also possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.

The following info pertains to the awards listed above:

Applications are due by mid-February. Award decision will be made by mid-March. Awardee has until beginning of April to notify the committee of acceptance or rejection of award.


 


Clinical Interns

 

Scholarship Amount: $3,000 per clinical training course (Practicum, Internship I, Internship II)

Award Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled at LeTourneau University with a declared major within the School of Psychology & Counseling (BSPY, PSCP, PSYA, PSYS). Candidates may be of freshmen or sophomore status.
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
  • Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)

Renewable: No

  • This award establishes a scholarship fund that awards $9,000.00 annually. The entire amount is awarded to one student. Students may apply for this scholarship more than once, as long as they meet the stated criteria. It is also possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.

Applications are due by mid-November for Spring, by mid-April for Summer, and by mid-August for Fall. Award decisions will be made by the end of November for Spring, April for Summer, and August for Fall. Awardees have one week to notify the committee of acceptance or rejection of award.
