Bioethics Center Acquisition

December 5, 2025

LeTourneau University recently announced the acquisition of The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity (CBHD) — one of the most respected Christian voices in bioethics for more than 30 years. Previously housed at Trinity International University in Illinois, the Center now calls LeTourneau home.

Why does this matter?

Since its founding, CBHD has been at the forefront of helping Christians think faithfully about some of the most pressing questions of our time — questions about the beginning and end of life, emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and genetic engineering, and what it ultimately means to be human. These are the kinds of questions that every engineer, nurse, businessperson, educator, and pastor will face in their career.

In other words, this is exactly the kind of work LeTourneau was made for.

What this brings to LETU:

This acquisition reflects LeTourneau's continued growth as the Christian Polytechnic University and deepens our commitment to equipping graduates who think critically, act ethically, and lead with purpose — no matter where their work takes them.

R.G. LeTourneau believed every workplace was a mission field. With CBHD now part of our university, we're equipping the next generation to carry a distinctly Christian voice into some of the most consequential conversations of our time.
