Writing Center

What is the Writing Center?

LeTourneau students can now take advantage of this new resource located in the Achievement Center in the Student Affairs building next to Glaske Center. It is a free drop-in tutoring service designed to offer help for students who may be struggling with writing assignments.

How can the Writing Center help you?

Our Staff will help you meet the challenge of effective college level writing by providing tips on:

  • Getting started on difficult topics
  • Improving organizational strategies
  • Developing effective elaboration
  • Using evidence for support
  • Sources used by LETU for documentation (handbooks)
  • Clarifying any serious grammar issues evident in your writing

How, exactly, do I utilize the Writing Center?

Just show up on the day/times that the Writing Center is open (see below). Our staff will work with you individually or in a small group. Bring your assignments, class notes, and/or any pre-writing or drafts that you have already worked on.

Location & Hours

The Writing Center is located in the Achievement Center on the 2nd floor of the Allen Family Student Center, Room 237, during the Fall and Spring semesters.
