Col. Douglas Anderson (RET)

Retired Colonel Douglas Anderson is no stranger to the Health Care system. Having served as CEO, CFO, CIO and COO of various hospitals and multi health systems, his resume is exemplary.

He carries these years of experience into his position as adjunct faculty member for the LeTourneau University Health Care Management/Administration programs.

Anderson recently retired from the Air Force Medical Service after thirty-four years. Just prior to his retirement, he served directly with the Air Force Surgeon General as the Director of Strategic Communication and Organizational Improvement for the AFMS, which includes 75 medical treatment facilities, 40,000 personnel and has a $32 billion budget.

Anderson also served a one year tour in Afghanistan, where he assisted the Afghanistan National Police Surgeon General in building a healthcare system for the organizations 82,000 police officers and over 550,000 family members.

As a board certified healthcare executive with thirty years of experience, Anderson has passed on his knowledge and experience teaching college-level courses in management, statistics, finance, economics and information systems. Currently, he is earning his Doctorate of Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University.
