Terri Deike enters her ninth year as Athletic Director at LeTourneau University.

Since her arrival to LeTourneau, the YellowJackets have reached new levels of success in the American Southwest Conference Tournament as well as on the national level within NCAA Division III. 12 sports have reached the American Southwest Conference Tournament including the first conference tournament title (baseball) in program history in 2014 and the first NCAA Tournament At-Large berth in men's basketball (2018). The grade-point average of LeTourneau student-athletes has risen to as high as 3.15 in the spring of 2015 under her leadership. Externally, she has been instrumental in the renovation of LETU athletic facilities within Solheim Arena and the Joyce Family Athletic Village. In the fall of 2016, a new locker room for men's and women's soccer as well as baseball and softball was opened. 

In addition to her duties as the Athletic Director, Deike serves as the co-advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and in the community with the Longview Rotary Club, Longview Partners in Prevention Mentoring Program and the Longview Boys and Girls Club. She also serves as a member and former chairperson of the 10-member NCAA Division III Membership Committee. Deike has also served as Senior Woman Administrator and compliance officer in her time with the YellowJackets. 

Deike, who came to LeTourneau from the University of Texas in Tyler, was named Athletic Director in March of 2010 and also took the title of senior woman administrator in addition to her promotion to athletic director. 
 
Prior to coming to LeTourneau, Deike was the head women’s basketball coach at UT-Tyler where  she amassed a 90-61 record, including guiding her teams to ASC East Division Championships in 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2007-08. She earned the ASC East Co-Coach of the Year after the 2005-06 season.
 
While at UT-Tyler, Deike was responsible for leading the school through the four-year NCAA provisional membership process. That helped gained active membership status as a result of reports, policies and procedures created and instituted under her leadership. She also established Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from 2003-09, sponsoring both programs and served as the school's Senior Woman Administrator during that same time frame.
 
Deike was very involved at UT-Tyler as she developed NCAA compliance program for the athletic department and served as compliance coordinator from 2003-06. She was named the Assistant Director of Athletics from 2005-07 and the Interim Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Affairs from 2007-08. She took over the title of Assistant Director of Athletics for Internal Affairs for one year from 2008-09.
 
Deike, a veteran of the East Texas high school basketball ranks, coached at Whitehouse, Hallsville, Belton and Overton, spending 22 years as varsity head coach before becoming UT-Tyler’s first head coach. She spent 11 years at Whitehouse, where she guided the school to the District Championship in 1990-91 and 1993-94. Her 1991-92 team was District Runner-Up. Deike’s 1995-96 and 1997-98 teams won the Bi-District Championships.
 
Deike earned her bachelor's degree from East Texas State University and her master's degree from UT-Tyler. She and her husband Dale, who is retired from Anadarko Production Company, have a son, Dylan and a daughter, Taylor. They live in Tyler.
