REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance (DOM), College of Aviation
SCHEDULE:

Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the DOM in all matters pertaining to running an efficient maintenance hangar.
  • Provide secretarial support to the DOM.
  • Assist the DOM in managing aircraft records.
  • Prepare employment forms for staff.
  • Prepare financial paperwork, including check requests, expense reports, and purchase orders.
  • Manage Aircraft parts inventory.
    • Parts ordering.
    • Shipping and receiving.
    • Inventory entry and management.
    • Supervise student workers.
  • Generate and Manage Aircraft Work Orders.
  • Other duties assigned by the DOM.
  • Provide seasonal assistance for the Flight Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree preferred
  • Minimum three years secretarial experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Superior attention to detail and excellent focus while managing multiple tasks
  • Experience reconciling accounts and working with billing processes
  • Ability to perform without supervision, yet able to work with others in a team effort
  • Ability to learn new processes and accomplish tasks with accuracy
  • A positive “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, and sometimes frenetic, environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Problem solving
