SCHEDULE: Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.

Keep the HR Director informed on all matters. Provide back-up in the absence of the HR Generalist.

• Assist in recruitment: Posting jobs and advertising, maintaining application files, responding to applicant questions, managing the application process.
• Assist in processing new employees: Maintaining orientation materials and personnel records for new hires, conducting new hire orientations, and completing paperwork.
• Assist with benefits and enrollment program: Scanning and maintaining employee files to include benefits information, processing all change and paying paperwork, responding to employee benefits questions, and resolving claims issues.
• Assist with management of electronic forms, communicate with university personnel regarding HR electronic form procedures.
• Perform routine clerical tasks such as mail, filing, scanning, copying, faxing, data entry, responding to phone calls, email, and proofreading.


Associate's Degree or an equivalent of knowledge and experience required.

• Minimum of three years of clerical experience; work or volunteer experience involving contact with the public. Preference to a candidate with prior HR knowledge and expertise.
• Strong technological competence and ability to learn new programs/applications quickly. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat essential. Access preferred.
• Initiative and ability to function without continual supervision. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organizational skills. Basic mathematical skills plus the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
