SCHEDULE: Primarily weekdays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  Occasional weekends and evenings.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Housing Coordinator is responsible for housing of students, staff, camps, and conferences in university-owned housing. The Housing Coordinator develops and executives effective and efficient processes to promote a positive student experience, communicates throughout the department and with constituents, and demonstrates exemplary stewardship of time and financial resources. This is a 12-month live-out position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Annually oversee aspects of the housing process for new and returning students
  • Communicate with students, parents, and employees that have questions or concerns related to residential student housing
  • Oversee the programming, training, and implementation of the housing system software
  • Maintain residence hall room furniture inventory and project needs for housing, furniture and facility improvements
  • Coordinate room changes, cancellations, and additions before, during, and between semesters and summer sessions
  • Manage operational budgets of areas within direct supervision
  • Collaborate effectively with Student Life staff to implement processes and improvements
  • Serve as a liaison to Bon Appetit regarding student food service options
  • Serve on committees and taskforces within the university as requested
  • Assist in managing workflow for Student Life administrative staff and student workers
  • Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Student Affairs
QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer a master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, or related field. LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith who is committed to Christian higher education that integrates Christian faith with learning. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing databases and working collaboratively with teams. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and students. Background with StarRez housing software or housing coordination is preferable. Strong computer skills and experience with creative reports required.

SALARY: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications. LeTourneau University provides a significant benefit package, which includes medical and life insurance and contribution to a retirement program.
