SCHEDULE: 25 hours per week. Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends, particularly the week-long theology camp each June.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • Recruit and retain high school students for the Passage fellowship: 
- Solicit and process applications/nominations and acceptance packets.
- Encourage fellows throughout the year.
- Create an LETU enrollment funnel.
- Nurture relationships with regional churches.
- Partner with the School of Theology and Vocation and Admissions.

  • Coordinate all Passage events, especially the week-long summer theology camp. 
- Book facilities, arrange food, and coordinate logistics.
- Attend to “guest experience” aspects of programming.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, and directing college staff
- Ensure Passage staff comply with relevant guidelines (background checks, etc.)
- Gather event feedback from attendees.

  • Administer Passage Institute support activities, including, but not limited to: 
- Manage databases for prospects, fellows, alumni, mentors, churches, and donors.
- Communicate via email, phone, mail, text, and social media.
- Oversee promotional material both print and digital forms.
- Track Passage budget and purchasing.
- Keep records of Passage meetings, tasks, and finances generating regular reports.
- Coordinate with the Director and Development to generate year-end reports.

QUALIFICATIONS: LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith, who is committed to Christian higher education that integrates Christian faith and learning. The ideal assistant director will have a heart for high school and college students as well as experience in youth or college ministry. He or she will be able to affirm LETU’s statement of evangelical faith and our community standards as well as being committed to the global and historic church, including sharing life together with a local church. He or she will be team-oriented and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Instagram - with some experience in web design or marketing would be a plus. As the initial point of contact for the Passage program, he or she should be friendly and warm, capable of communicating clearly and collegially. Bachelor's degree preferred.
