REPORTS TO: Dean, College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science

Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility.

  • Coordination of all office duties for the Dean and faculty in the College of Aviation & Aeronautical Science.
  • Assist the Dean in all matters pertaining to the efficient operation of the College of Aviation & Aeronautical Science.
  • Provide secretarial support to the Dean and Associate Dean.
  • Handle calendar, mail, and phone calls for the Dean.
  • Compose, proofread, and edit documents for the Dean.
  • Schedule and host meetings, including coordinating meals, making travel arrangements, reserving meeting rooms, coordinating seating set ups, and taking minutes. 
  • Assist the Dean in monitoring the school’s operational budgets.
  • Prepare employment forms for faculty, staff, and student workers.
  • Prepare financial paper work, including check requests, expense reports, and purchase orders.
  • Other duties assigned by the Dean.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum three years secretarial experience
  • Exceptional secretarial/ administrative assistant experience
  • A positive “can do” attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, and sometimes frenetic, environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to relate to students, faculty, and staff
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
