SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the university's School of Business.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

LeTourneau University invites applications from exceptionally qualified candidates for one full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the university's School of Business. The position is open in terms of rank, with the primary discipline in finance or accounting. Applicants in finance must be qualified to teach undergraduate and MBA courses, including principles and intermediate level courses in finance, and upper-level finance electives. Applicants in accounting must be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting classes. Expertise in teaching tax is especially needed. Preference will be given to candidates who have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in finance or accounting. Candidates who are nearing completion of an accredited doctoral program will be considered and are also encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith and a commitment to Christian higher education that integrates Christian faith and learning;
  •  Authentic support and enthusiasm for the university’s statement of faith and community covenant;
  • An earned Ph.D. or DBA in accounting and/or finance;
  • Success in university-level teaching and scholarship;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; team-oriented approach to tasks; and willingness to contribute to all the programs within the School of Business;
  • Served as a faculty of accounting and/or finance for a period of five years;
  • A proven record of distinguished teaching, research and scholarship;
  • A commitment to both traditional and nontraditional higher education;
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A commitment to advancing the use of technology in academic applications;
  • Knowledge of current trends and issues in education;
  • Knowledge of curriculum and program assessment and development;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team relationship with fellow faculty and staff members and within the community of LeTourneau University;
  • Become a vibrant member of the university community contributing to student success;
  • Maintain a commitment to academic scholarship in field of expertise.
SALARY: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications. LeTourneau University provides a significant benefit package, which includes medical and life insurance and contribution to a retirement program.
