LETU To Host 'Celebrity Softball Games' Fundraiser Oct. 20



LeTourneau University is hosting its second annual “Celebrity Softball Games” fundraiser at the Conrad-Vernon Field at LETU on Saturday, Oct. 20. The fundraiser supports LETU athletics.

Three games will include rematches from last year’s games that featured Christus Good Shepherd and Longview Regional Hospitals, as well as the Longview Police Department and the Longview Fire Department. Also taking part this year is Eastman Chemical Company and Komatsu to start the day of fun. The games are free to the public.

The games will be as follows:
11 a.m. Christus Good Shepherd Hospital vs. Longview Regional Hospital
1 p.m. Eastman Chemical Company vs. Komatsu
3 p.m. Longview Fire Department vs Longview Police Department.

All proceeds will benefit LETU YellowJacket student-athletes and will help provide uniform enhancements and future nonconference road trips.

LETU YellowJackets play 17 NCAA Division III varsity sports and compete in the American Southwest Conference. LETU competes in men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field—indoor and outdoor events, as well as men’s baseball, and women’s softball and volleyball.
