Two LETU Students Receive UPS Scholarships

LeTourneau University students Rahsheen Lewis Jr., a freshman engineering technology student from Longview, and Sha’Donnaver Young, a junior kinesiology/exercise science major from Houston, have been selected to receive UPS Scholarships provided by the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas (ICUT) Foundation and its national partner, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

CIC teams up with the UPS Foundation to distribute $120,000 in funding to 40 low-income students at private institutions across Texas.

CIC is an association of over 700 nonprofit independent colleges and universities advancing institutional excellence and enhancing public understanding of private higher education’s contributions to society. CIC helps institutions improve educational quality, administrative and financial performance, and institutional visibility. It also provides support to state associations, including the ICUT Foundation, that organize programs and generate contributions for their member colleges and universities.

LeTourneau University is the Christian polytechnic university in the nation where educators engage students to nurture Christian virtue, develop competency and ingenuity in their professional fields, integrate faith and work, and serve the local and global community. LETU offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs across a range of disciplines and delivery models at LETU’s residential campus in Longview, Texas, hybrid options at centers in the Dallas and Houston areas and fully online programs.
