LETU to Feature Architect Raymond Harris to Speak in Chapel Wednesday on Faith and Work


LeTourneau University will feature Raymond H. Harris, chairman and founder of Raymond Harris & Associates Architects of Dallas, in a chapel service on faith and work integration at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Belcher Center on the university's main campus 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. in Longview. The event is free and open to the public.

Harris established his architectural firm 33 years ago, and it has since become one of the largest architectural firms specializing in corporate architecture in the nation. For three consecutive years from 2013-2015, it ranked as the number 2 design firm for retail architecture in the U.S. by Architectural Record magazine.

Harris has written two books for NavPress, The Anatomy of a Successful Firm and The Heart of Business. He also has executive produced three movies distributed by Sony Pictures. He is an avid hiker and has hiked all of the national parks in the continental United States. He also served as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts and received the National Boy Scout of America Silver Beaver Award. He and his wife, Marydel, have four adult children, and four grandchildren.
