LETU Popovich Event to Benefit Local Pet Rescue Group

LeTourneau University is presenting the Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, in the Belcher Center on the university's main campus, 2100 S. Mobberly Avenue in Longview. Tickets are $25 for adults, $12 for high school and college students with an ID card, and $10 for children ages 14 and under. To order tickets, go online at www.BelcherCenter.com or call the box office at (903) 233-3080.

The event is providing a special opportunity to benefit a local pet rescue group. Those who bring to donate an unopened bag of dog or cat food to the show will receive a ticket to permit them to have their photos taken with Gregory Popovich and some of his furry friends after the show. All proceeds benefit Texas Star Rescue. The show is sponsored by local pet enthusiast Alicia Nolte through Fete for Pets.

A family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets, the Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre features Shetland pony "Diamond" and the German goat duo "Kurt and Helga" in a cast of jugglers, clowns, and over 30 pets including house cats and dogs (all adopted from animal shelters), geese, plus white doves, and parrots.

The animals love to show off onstage - performing a variety of stunts and skits. Audiences are delighted by the extravaganza of European-style clowning, amazing juggling and balancing act talented performing pets.
