LETU Names Dr. Luke Tallon to Theology Faculty

LeTourneau University names Dr. Luke Ben Tallon as a new assistant professor of theology, effective Aug. 1. Tallon holds three degrees from Pepperdine University: a Bachelor of Arts in religion, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Thought. His doctoral degree in divinity is from the University of St. Andrews.

"We are very pleased to have Luke join our growing theology faculty at LETU," said Dr. Pat Mays, LETU Theology Department chair. "His teaching experience in Barbados and Scotland will bring an international flair to the classes he teaches at LETU."

Tallon comes to LETU from Malibu, Calif., where he served as a visiting assistant professor of religion for Pepperdine University.

He also has taught at Codrington College in Barbados and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He has led courses in theology, ethics and the Bible for students at the graduate, undergraduate and pre-collegiate levels.

Tallon is currently a member of the University Church of Christ in Malibu, where he regularly teaches children's Bible classes and preaches occasionally for area churches.
