'The Wonder Bread Years' Comedy Comes to LETU's Belcher Stage to April 14

LeTourneau University will host the comedy production "The Wonder Bread Years" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.

"The Wonder Bread Years" is billed as "a fresh and funny slice of Americana." The production is designed to be part stand-up comedy and part theater as it seeks to honor the experiences of the Baby Boomer Generation's formative years. The blend of comedy and nostalgia is hosted by Pat Hazell, who is one of the original writers for "Seinfeld" and a "Tonight Show" veteran. Performers John McGivern and David Mann are also featured in the production.

"'The Wonder Bread Years' is a fabulous and fun show that lets the older generation savor the past with a hilarious walk down memory lane and will enlighten the younger generation with a look at what the world looked like when their parents were their ages," said Belcher Center Director Cynthia Hellen.

"The Wonder Bread Years" has been broadcast on PBS and continues to enjoy positive reception across the United States. The blend of classic Americana humor and pop culture nods has earned the show positive reviews from sources such as The Los Angeles Times and Dallas Morning News.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and still available for $30 or $25 plus applicable fees. Tickets can be purchased at the university's box office at (903) 233-3080 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, online at www.BelcherCenter.com or at the door.
