LETU to Host 2012 TAIR Winter Reading Conference Feb. 3


About 150 local educators are expected to attend the East Texas TAIR Winter Reading Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the LETU Education Building. TAIR (Texas Association for the Improvement of Reading) is committed to assisting Texas teachers in focusing on reading success for all students. Guest speakers include children's author Denise Brennan-Nelson and Texas historical fiction author Donna Van Cleve.

Denise Brennan-Nelson is the author of several children's titles from Sleeping Bear Press, including Buzzy the Bumblebee, Someday Is Not a Day of the Week, Penny: The Forgotten Coin, Grady the Goose, and the popular series My Teacher Likes to Say; My Momma Likes to Say, and My Grandma Likes to Say.
