Summer Camps Start Monday, Registration Under Way

Registration for LeTourneau University Summer Camps is still underway for many of the week-long academic and athletic camps that kick off Monday, June 8. Morning camps feature a smorgasbord of activities and learning with fun for all ages, including an art camp, flight camp and H20 Mania. Examples of afternoon camps include fun with animals, adventure and acting.
LETU Super Summer camps for students entering grades K-12 are held through July 24. These camps are designed to help students enjoy hands-on learning opportunities throughout the summer.
"LeTourneau University is known for offering excellent academic and athletic camps in a Christian environment," said Marty Lane, director of special programs. "This year we have added a number of new camps including "Time Machine: Art Through the Ages," "Awesome Animals on the Ark," "By the Sea," "Exploring Math with Food," "Fun with Music" and "Leading Ladies."
LEGO® Robotics camps will be guided this year by Janice Park, a teacher from New Diana Junior High School. Lance Homeniuk is back again this summer offering his wildly popular "Medieval Times," "Rocket Summer," "Insane Science," "Kid's Architecture" and "Junior Engineers" summer camps.
Popular drama and cinema camps will be taught by Doris Collier and include: "Next Stop, Hollywood," "Taking the Stage" and "Express Yourself."
Science and space camps will be taught by Lee Wilkinson including "LeTourneau Space Camp," "Incredible Stuff, and the ever-popular "Slime Ka-boom."
Athletic Camps help students increase abilities in baseball, basketball and soccer. For children who love multiple sports and want constant action, there's "Camp Sports Time."
The camp schedule and online registration is available at www.letu.edu/camps. Anyone with questions can call LETU's summer camps office at (903) 233-4090.
