High school writers are invited to submit their creative work to the inaugural LETU Writes Contest. This contest is open to students living in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Arkansas.
Students may submit poetry (2-3 poems) or fiction (a short story with a 2000 word maximum) by April 15th, 2020, to be considered for the award.
The top submissions will be invited to participate in a writing workshop with award-winning writers on LeTourneau University’s campus during the East Texas Writing Festival (June 12-13, 2020). One winner from each category will receive free registration to the Festival. Due to the cancellation of the East Texas Writing Festival, the winner in each category will instead receive a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card.
