Missionary in Residence

Ed and Debbie RothfusSince 2000, Ed and Debbie have served with Africa Inland Mission at Rift Valley Academy (RVA), a boarding school for the children of missionaries, in Kijabe, Kenya. Their calling is to "stand in the gap" for MKs (missionary kids) and TCKs (third culture kids) whose parents live and serve in many countries. Individually and together, Ed and Debbie have served in various roles at RVA including dorm parents, high school art teacher, Art Department Chairman, elementary and high school librarian, mentors, teachers in the Sunday School program, class sponsors of several graduating classes, and other school-related responsibilities.

Ed and Debbie have three young adult children-Daniel, Jonathan, and Jennie-who all graduated from RVA. One of their children is a 2014 LeTourneau graduate, and another will graduate from LeTourneau this year.

Ed and Debbie have enjoyed the many aspects of being on the mission field while serving Jesus in Kenya, but the greatest blessings are the relationships that Jesus has brought and continues to bring into their lives. What a gift to work with children who have come from all over the world and have so much to share! With Jesus as the Author of relationships, Ed and Debbie are eager to be involved in all that Jesus has planned for the LeTourneau community this year.
