What is the Writing Center?

The Writing Center provides LeTourneau students with one-on-one writing tutorial sessions. Our tutoring staff will help you meet the challenge of effective college writing in all disciplines.

How can the Writing Center help you?

Our Staff will help you meet the challenge of effective college level writing by providing tips on:

  • Getting started on writing assignments
  • Developing strong introductions and conclusions
  • Creating transitions
  • Improving organizational strategies
  • Using evidence for support
  • Grammar, punctuation and sentence structure
  • Citing sources correctly (MLA, APA)

Make an Appointment

To schedule a tutoring session, use our online scheduling system at https://tutortrac.letu.edu/TracWeb40/Default.html. Appointments must be made 24 hours in advance.

Drop-In Services

Writing tutors are available on a drop-in basis from 7pm to 9pm in the Writing Center, AFSC Room 225, Sunday through Thursday. No appointment is necessary.
