Celebrating 75 Years

In 1946, R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau established the LeTourneau Technical Institute to educate returning soldiers from the Second World War. With the LeTourneau's foundational commitment to seek first God's kingdom, LeTourneau Technical Institute became LeTourneau College (1961), and then LeTourneau University (1989) - educating more than 25,000 students who are now spread around the world. Today, 75 years later, the university remains committed to that initial vision of providing a practical, hands-on Christ centered education. Join us as we celebrate God's faithfulness to the LeTourneau community through our stories, commemorations, and special events.

Our 75th Anniversary Celebration

Join us for the celebration!

From January 2021 through June 2022, we are inviting the LeTourneau family - alumni, donors, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff - to join us for some special moments to remember, to celebrate, and to worship.  We hope you'll make plans to join us as we celebrate 75 years of God's faithfulness!

February 7-10 - 57th GO Week

Our annual missions awareness week welcomes mission organizations to campus, along with guest speakers in chapel, to share what God is doing in missions here at home and around the world.  Throughout the years, God has used this week to call our students to full-time ministry at home and abroad. Click here to find out more about this year's GO Week.

February 24-25 - Day of Prayer

Five days after recieiving their Charter from the State of Texas, the LeTourneau Technical Institute staff, faculty, the LeTourneau family, and members of our community joined together for a day of prayer to dedicate the new venture to the Lord.  Join us this February as we pause to remember, to reflect, and to pray, continuing to dedicate the work and mission of LeTourneau University for God's glory.

April 14-17 - Homecoming & Family Weekend 2021

Join us for this very special Homecoming & Family Weekend, taking place over 4 days, rather than just two.  We'll be celebrating through concerts, award celebrations, special speakers (including Pastor Tony Evans), reunions galore, an Alumni Auto Show and so much more! Click here to find out more and to register (registration opens in January).

Summer 2021 - Regional Events

Over the Summer of 2021, we'll be hosting a series of alumni and friends of LeTourneau gatherings around the country.  These cities and dates will be announced at Homecoming & Family Weekend 2021, as well as here.  Check back in April to see when we'll be in your area!

September 2021 - First Day of Class

In September 1946, the first full year of classes began at LeTourneau Technical Institute.  To commemorate this special moment in our history, we are going to celebrate all day and across campus.  Join us in September for a really special "First Day of Class" Celebration!

Check back throughout 2021 and Spring 2022 for information on new events, opportunities, and stories celebrating LeTourneau's 75th Anniversary!
