75th Anniversary Logo

Please note: This article is about the GO Missions Week that took place from February 6-10, 2021. For information about the GO MIssions Week scheduled for January 23-26, 2022, please contact the Spiritual Life Office.

Every year for the last 57 years, LeTourneau has hosted a missions awareness week. Now known as GO Week, this week every Spring welcomes representatives and missionaries of mission organization that work across the country and around the world. Over the course of the week, students get the opportunity to hear from these missionaries in their classes, in special seminars, and in GO Week Chapels.

On February 7-10, 2021, we celebrated our 57th GO Week during our 75th Anniversary. GO Week celebrated the long history and the global impact of LeTourneau alumni who have served as missionaries at home and abroad.  In addition, GO Week brought special guest speakers to campus. GO Week is sponsored by the Office of Spiritual Life and coordinated by our Missionaries in Residence, Jon and Becky Woodworth, who have served in Kenya for the last twenty years as full-time missionaries.

David HolstenFor our 57th year, David Holsten, the CEO and President of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), was the guest speaker for chapel. Mission Aviation Fellowship had just finished celebrating their 75th Anniversary.  David and his wife, Natalie, served for 17 years in Indonesia before returning the United States for this new assignment.  In looking back on their time in Indonesia and serving with MAF's national and international, David reflects, "Throughout our time with MAF we have faced numerous challenges, but we have also been blessed to see the hand of God clearly displayed. It has been so rewarding to be part of a work that provides a service to others that is critically needed. It is our desire to not only be a part of addressing the significant physical needs of others, but to also be a part of impacting them spiritually, helping them grow in their walk with the Lord. We want the message of the Gospel to be clearly displayed in what we do.” Holsten spoke several times throughout the week.
