LETU Women Fall To JCC
HAWKINS, TEXAS – Jarvis Christian College’s pressure defense and aggressiveness on the offensive boards proved to be too much for LeTourneau University women’s basketball team as they fell 64-50 to JCC on Tuesday night.
JCC went up quickly in the first half to take a 13-4 lead, but LETU fought back and tied the score at 21-21 off of two free-throws from junior Stephanie Bush. The Jackets gained their first lead of 24-21 less than a minute later when Ali Goodwin hit a 3-pointer from the left corner. The score would be tied one more time at 25-25 before JCC went on a 5 point run to take the lead at intermission, 31-26.
Both teams came out aggressive in the second half, and LETU regained the lead by two at the 17:00 minute mark when junior Kirby Posey scored off a put back from the low block.
