Psalm 115

1. List the characteristics of Jehovah (The God Who Is) and the heathen deities and note how they differ.

2. What does the passage say about those who make such deities and trust in them? Discuss who you would rather trust with your problems and why.

3. The people who worshiped false gods attributed powers to their deities. For the idols of our day, what kinds of powers do we attribute to them?  What do we hope they will do for us?

c) Substance abuse

e) Expensive electronics (computers, sound systems, etc.)

4. Whom does the psalmist encourage to trust in the Lord?
