LETU Pro-Life Student Group to Host Inaugural 3K Fun Run Sept. 23

Tue, Sep 5 2017

LeTourneau University student group, Pro-Life LeTourneau, is hosting an inaugural 3K fun run, the “LeTourneau Life Lap,” beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, rain or shine, on the university campus located at 2100 S. Mobberly Ave in Longview.

“The reason we are doing a 3K instead of a 5K is that we plan the course to go around the perimeter of the LETU campus, just inside the fencing, which measures 3 kilometers or 1.86 miles,” said Pro-Life LeTourneau President Ian Thompson.

This event is open to Longview residents of any age, with early registration cost of $10. Concessions will be available for the runners after the completion of the 3K.

More information and Registration for the event can be found at http://tinyurl.com/y72mokco.  Check-in will be at 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the race in LeTourneau University’s Belcher Center parking lot.
Walk-up registration is $12 and is available beginning at 8 a.m. in the Belcher Center parking lot, where the run will begin.

All proceeds from the registration and a portion of the concessions will be donated to Expectant Heart Pregnancy Resource Center, which has been serving women with unplanned pregnancies in Longview, with free services such as free pregnancy tests, diapers, baby clothes, and parenting classes. Participants in the race will receive certificates upon completion with placings listed.
