Registration Underway for LETU Summer Academic Camps

Mon, May 22 2017

Registration is underway for LeTourneau University’s 2017 Summer Camps for students entering grades K-12.  Academic camps include art, robotics, science, fun and skills. Morning sessions run from 8 a.m. to noon. Afternoon sessions run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The weekly camps schedule is online and registration is available at www.letu.edu/camps.  For questions call LeTourneau University’s Conference and Event Services at (903) 233-3090.

Week-long academic camps will run from June 5-9 and June 12-16, with morning and afternoon sessions available. These camps are designed to help students enjoy hands-on learning and skill development. The cost of camps include a daily snack and free blue LETU Summer Camps T-shirt.  Lunch is available for those students who attend both morning and afternoon sessions.

Popular this summer is the Drone Flight School for students in grades 7-12.   Campers will build their own drones and learn to safely fly them. Professional drone pilot and instructor Ruedi Schubarth will teach the class.  Cost of the camp includes all basic copter parts and materials, including an extra battery so campers can continue to fly at home after camp.
