LeTourneau University announces Christian singer Joanna Endsley will perform at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview. The event is free and open to the public.
Endsley has decades of experience as a singer, songwriter, and recording artist. She has also performed globally at venues from Las Vegas to Saudi Arabia.
Endsley was the vocalist for the bands After Dark and Magdalene and wrote all of the songs for Magdalene’s “Forsaken” album. Currently, Endsley is writing and recording Christian rock music on her own. She has also worked with renowned musicians, including drummer and producer Bobby Blotzer of Ratt and bassist and recording engineer Jeff Pilson of Foreigner.
Several of Endsley’s songs have won nominations and awards. “Look Away” was chosen for the Disc Makers 2005 compilation CD. Her song, "If You Want Me To," was chosen by the Dallas Songwriters Association as a top 10 winner in their 2007 songwriting competition. "Save Me" was a semi-finalist for the Dallas Songwriters Association’s 2011 competition.
