LeTourneau University will present Parental Care Ministries Children’s Choir in a special performance during chapel service at 10:50 a.m., Wednesday April 18, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview. The event is free and open to the public.
Parental Care Ministries, founded by Pastor Emmanuel Nnyanzi in Mbarara, Uganda, is a Christian organization that provides poor and malnourished children with physical resources, emotional care and spiritual grounding. The ministry serves over 1,000 children by supplying food, water and education from a biblical perspective. Nnyanzi is also the director of the School of Ezra, which equips local pastors with the necessary tools to grow their churches.
The children’s choir is currently engaged in its first international tour, seeking to demonstrate a strong faith through music and dance. Since its inception, Parental Care Ministries has expanded to include branches in the U.S. and the U.K. These groups help coordinate and support socioeconomic relief for those in Uganda
