LeTourneau University will begin classes for new and returning students for the fall semester Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010. New student registration and check-in to residence halls will be Thursday, Aug. 19. Orientation sessions will be from Thursday, Aug. 19, through Monday, Aug. 23. Returning students can check into their residence halls Sunday, Aug. 22. Registration for classes for returning students is Monday, Aug. 23.
The last day to register or change registration is Monday, Aug. 30. LeTourneau University
will hold classes on Labor Day, since school has just begun.
New faculty members for the 2010-2011 school year at LeTourneau University include several
people filling new positions. Kendra Ericson will fill the new position as coordinator of LETU’s
new nursing program. Stephen L. Kintner will fill the new position as air traffic management
instructor. Dr. Mark A. Jonah was named to fill the new assistant professor of Christian ministries
in worship arts position.
Other new faculty include Dr. Jesse J. French , assistant professor of mechanical
engineering; Dr. Bruce A. Hathaway, a professor of chemistry; Dr. Seunghyun Kim, assistant
professor of electrical engineering; Daniel D. Lowery, assistant professor of biblical studies;
Norman C. Reese, assistant professor of mechanical engineering technology; Joel W. Koblich,
instructor in electrical engineering technology; Jeffrey D. Johnson, instructor of design
technology; Dr. George A Damoff, assistant professor of biology; Dr. Darla Lu Underwood Baggett,
assistant professor of education; Sarah Anderson, instructor in early childhood teacher education;
Karen Jacobs, assistant professor in business; Barry J. Rempel, missionary-in-residence and Rebecca
J. Teerink, aircraft systems instructor.
Dr. Kwan Hee Lee is a visiting professor of chemistry from Handong Global University, LETU’s
sister university in Pohang, South Korea.
Jeremy Cole, Hank Gibson, Peter Greenwald, Jon Newsham and Scott Storey will work at the Paul
and Betty Abbott Aviation center as flight instructors.
