LeTourneau University has named Dan Fiedler as its new assistant vice president for facilities services. Fiedler will oversee the university’s facilities department that is responsible for maintenance and beautification of the 162-acre main campus and Abbott Aviation Center. Fiedler will also be involved in master planning for new building and space allocation at the university, serving as construction liaison working with architects and construction managers for major projects and as project manager for smaller projects. \
Fiedler came to LETU from Linfield College, which is an independent, undergraduate college of around 1,700 students, located in McMinnville, Oregon, where he was associate director of facilities services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from George Fox University. He spent 10 years working in project management and engineering for oil and gas companies in California and Oregon before moving into project management in the food service sector with Nabisco for seven years prior to entering higher education three years ago.
