6:30 p.m. CDT--The eye of the storm passed through LETU between 2 and 5 pm today. Bands
of rain and gusts of wind may linger for the next few hours.
Rain and flooding were not significant issues on our campus, and only minimal damage has been
suffered so far by the winds. Tree branches are down throughout campus, and a single tree
fell without incident at the front of campus.
Despite power outages throughout East Texas, our campus currently has full power and was only
without electricity for about three minutes this afternoon.
Staff members continue to monitor the situation as Campus Security patrols and responds to any
needs.
