Prospective students arrived on campus Thursday afternoon to begin a two-day taste of life at LeTourneau.
This year’s Fall Preview participants include 50 high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as 67 parents, arriving from across the United States, from Maryland to California. While LeTourneau attracts applicants from all 50 states and 25 countries, m any Fall Preview students live closer to campus, representing East Texas cities including Longview and Gilmer.
Most of the prospective students will immerse themselves into the university experience as they spend Thursday night in a residence hall and get to know current students. Friday, they will attend chapel and classes to get a first-hand feel for the LeTourneau family’s fervor for both academic and spiritual life.
Other Fall Preview events include residence hall and campus tours, as well as financial aid and admissions information sessions to provide potential applicants guidance regarding the admissions process.
Participants and their parents can also meet with faculty members and coaches to learn more about LeTourneau’s scholastic and athletic programs. They will also be able to eat in the campus Café, consult with their admissions counselor and meet other prospective students.
Fall Preview will conclude on Friday evening.
