LeTourneau University will host “Sanders Family Christmas”
performed by the Cumberland County Playhouse of Crossville, Tennessee, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov.16,
at the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.
The Cumberland County Playhouse brought “Smoke On The Mountain" to
Longview in the summer of 2006 as the Belcher Center’s inaugural performance.
"Sanders Family Christmas" is a follow-up to "Smoke On The
Mountain," featuring all the same loveable characters, and most (if not all) will be performed by
the same actors who were here before. The show features a "rib-tickling, heartwarming blend of
holiday song and bluegrass style, as the family celebrates the season and welcomes the Savior, and
Mervyn plans a surprise."
Tickets range from $10-$20, with a 10% discount for groups of 10
or more, and may be purchased online at
www.BelcherCenter.com or at the Belcher
Center Box Office between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact (903)-233-3080 for
additional information.
Designed by experts in acoustical engineering, Belcher Center
seats more than 2,000 with orchestra, mezzanine and two balconies. Prominently located at the
front of the university campus at 2100 S. Mobberly, the Belcher Center is the largest building on
LETU’s 162-acre campus. The center was built primarily as a chapel where students gather three
times each week for worship and spiritual instruction, but the center also hosts educational,
cultural and spiritual programs for the community.
